Learning Goals for SPED 303

1.) Develop a better understanding of the role of a special educator.

-I chose this as a learning goal because understanding the role of the educator is the foundation for teaching. One can not successfully work with students with disabilities if they do not understand the nature of their role as a special educator.

2.) Lean how to implement practices and techniques in the class room setting while working with students with disabilities.

-I chose this as a learning goal because students will benefit more from one who is able to implement successful practices and techniques.

3.) Choose between a mild to moderate or severe emphasis for my special education minor.

-I chose this as a learning goal because not only do I think leaning about the differences between the two will make me more knowledgeable but it will also help determine my career path.
